Dr James Carleton Paget was educated at Queens' College, Cambridge. In 1993 he became a Research Fellow at Peterhouse, and in 1995, a Lecturer in the New Testament at the University of Cambridge where he has been ever since. He has published on subjects related to New Testament, early church history, and ancient Judaism, as well as on Albert Schweitzer.
Dr Tabitha Mwangi has been Programme Manager of Cambridge-Africa since 2021. She was senior lecturer in Public Health at Anglia Ruskin University, UK (2017–2020) and Pwani University in Kilifi, Kenya (2013-2015) were she taught both undergraduate and post-graduate students.
Dr Toby Young is Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow at the Guildhall School. Before coming to Guildhall, Toby was the Gianturco Junior Research Fellow at Linacre College, Oxford. Since winning the Guardian/BBC Proms Young Composer of the Year (2006 and 2008), Toby’s works have been performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Academy of Ancient Music, Fretwork, London Mozart Players, Britten Sinfonia and CHROMA.
Benedict Rattigan established the Schweitzer Institute UK in 2004. He is Joint Editor, with Prof Denis Noble CBE FRS, of
Bi-Symmetrics: The Journal of Symmetry & Asymmetry, and Supervising Editor, with Dr James Carleton Paget, of The Schweitzer Institute Journal. In 2022, he hosted 'The Language of Symmetry' at The British Museum, an inter-disciplinary collaboration with Oxford University. Between 1994 & 2004 he wrote and produced/directed strands for British network television.
Nicholas Kaye is Headmaster of Sussex House School, Chelsea. He read English at Cambridge and is a conductor, writer and lecturer on French music, specialising in revivals of forgotten settings of the Requiem Mass by French composers. He is a contributor to The New Groves Dictionary of Music and Musicians. He regularly visits Addis Ababa as a trustee of the Asra Hawariat School, has lectured on Victorian architecture and conducted tours of Tintoretto’s paintings in Venice.
